Costozza, known as "the pearl of Berici",
at few km from Vicenza, town of Palladio and 50 km from Venice, Verona
or the Lake Garda.
A bike path leads directly to "
the Wine Route
" and, with a short walk you can reachthe Ancient Village,
where you will admire sites of rare beauty
There are a living room with a double sofa bed, a kitchen and a
dinner corner,
a bathroom with a window and a double bedroom.
From the
living room, a sliding door leads to the patio and to the small lawn,
where you can dine .
Between the living and the bedroom there is a corridor leading to
the bathroom and the small store room with the washing machine,
a situation that provides some privacy to those who sleep in the
sofa bed. For the guests a big garage is available.
Costozza, small and very charming village rich in history, is situated at the foot of the Berici hills and, with its Villas and Gardens looks like a little corner of Toscana
It is said that Galileo Galileioften observed the starry skies of Costozza when he stayed in the villas of the nobles. Famous are the "Ventidotti," ventilation systems existing from the 15th century, and the "Covoli", ancient cave houses. Around the square of the village there are the Villa Aeolia, the Villa da Schio and the Villa Trento Carli.
The ancient big ice house of the village, where once snow an ice were preserved during all the year, is built of brick and stone and now has become the set of the characteristic enoteca "la Botte del Covolo".
Nearby restaurants and cellars offer
the traditional food of the venetian region and very good wines.All the area is ideal for visiting
